Kid’s Products I Love

We all strive to do what’s best for our kids, making sure they eat healthy and get enough sleep. But, do we think about the products we use on their sensitive skin? Do we think about the chemicals and fragrances that we place on their little bodies that may cause allergic reactions or -gulp- even cause cancer?  Thankfully, Kiss My Face has just come out with a whole kid’s line that is 100% natural with no artificial colors, fragrances, parabens, or Sodium Lauryl Sulfate.

Now, in the past I’ve used natural products that didn’t smell so great. But these? Oh my goodness!  These products smell absolutely so yummy, I could eat them! Most are in the “Orange U Smart” scent that smells like orange serbert. It’s good stuff.  Savannah loves the toothpaste, that is naturally good tasting instead of with artificial sugars and flavors (there is both with fluoride and without for the younger kids!). She also loves playing with the little “Whale of Soap” bars that are shaped like whales (and again, they smell so good!).  These products work just as well as other products that do contain harmful ingredients, but it gives me a piece of mind that these are actually good for her. The packaging and cleaver titles also just makes these products so fun to use, with interesting animal facts on each. The good thing? These natural products aren’t just sold in health stores or online, but in stores like Target as well!

Want to win the entire cleaning line for your little busy body? The set includes:

1. A Whale of a Soap Pack

2. 2 in 1 Shampoo and Conditioner

3. Toothpaste with Fluoride

4. Toothpaste without Fluoride

5. Pack of Lip Balm

6. Foaming Hand Wash

7. Hair Detangler Spray

8. Bubble Wash

9. Foaming Shampoo and Body Wash

Yes, that’s nine great products you can win!  Just comment on this post telling me what you do to help protect and encourage a “green” life for your family (I can use all the help I can get myself…).  Comments will close on Thursday, December 4th at midnight. One winner will be chosen at random and announced Friday the 5th.

Good luck!

Green is definitely good. My daughter got an idea from a television show and since then, she’s wanted to recycle things, so if any one of us accidentally throws something in the trash that can be recycled, she totally lectures us, lol. And she is the queen of turning lights off to ‘save electricity’. I don’t know if my 4 year old is really earth-conscious, or just likes telling mommy and daddy what to do, lol.

Count me in for the giveaway! I often use the back side of a piece of paper to write things down or even print my papers for school. So many pages come out of the printer “messed up” somehow…ink is low or I missed a grammar error and have to reprint it…you know how it goes. So I will either reload the paper in so that the opposite side is used or I will save the “messed up” sheets for scrap paper. Saves money and helps the environment. I figure use a resource for all ya can, ya know?!
Thanks!

I just love these products and I’d love to give some to my god-daughter. I try to keep my house green by buying local produce from organic farms whenever I can and I use the greenworks and seventh generation cleaning products in my house. I also walk a lot instead of driving.

I’d love to try these products. I have two kids who both have allergies, and reactions from most products. And lots of natural products are pricey.

We recycle, and buy mostly organic(and no beef hehe). We bundle up and keep our heat set low. And unplug everything at night, and when we leave the house. Use E85 gas, though since we moved we’ve been walking most places(yay for small towns). And..this may seem gross but we don’t flush the toilet unless a #2 has been done hehe.

Would love to be included in the giveaway! In our house we are so religious about recycling and reusing whatever we can. We usually only have to put trash out for collection every 3-4 weeks, that’s how little we have. We use cloth grocery bags and all natural cleaners. I buy organic and as many natural foods as I can. I even found a great tea set for my daughter for Christmas made out of recycled milk jugs, perfect! Another thing I do, is to not take the car out unless I have several errands I need to run, then I run them all at once, conserving on gas. We keep our heat down and bundle up and I’m pretty stern on electricity and water usage.

To help the environment, I like to recycle all useless newspapers and ads. I would like to win this prize for my sister.

I recycle by giving used items to charities. I use scrap papers for lists, notes etc., and I use business envelopes for various family and school associated needs. I woulds love to win these products for my children and their friends for the holidays.

Oops! I hit submit before I was done! We do a lot of recycling and using green products when we can. I am in charge of the recycling program at the school I work at teaching and creating “PSA’s” on the morning announcments to help teach the students to be more green! Start teaching kids when they are young, so that they grow up with that as the norm.

My daughter insisted that we purchase some of the reusable bags when we go to the store. Generally we’re just running in and out, so it works out well. She’s in charge of making sure that the bags get put back in the car. She’s old enough now that she likes that responsibility. I’ve found that if I keep them in the car, I remember to grab them when I run to the local farmers market or just to pick up the odds and ends. When we do end up using the plastic bags, we keep those and reuse them, or if we get too many – we turn them in to the bag recycling most stores offer now.

This would be an awesome gift for my munchkin.

Mmmmm…those products sounds yummy!

We try to recycle everything & donate things that we don’t need (but others might).

We buy organic products and try to not use so many plastic bags when shopping.
